02/24/2010

Dallas, Texas—Feb. 24, 2010—Forest Park Medical Center has been named a finalist in two categories of the Dallas Business Journal annual awards for Best Real Estate Deals. Phase I of the medical center, completed by A&P in February 2009, is a finalist in the Best Medical Project category. Phase III, which A&P is expected to start later this spring, is a finalist in the category of Best Green Project—Private.

Phase I, a 66,000 square foot 24-bed medical and surgery center, has completely transformed the 20-acre site, which had been occupied by a car dealership built on the site of a former drive-in theater, and has brought an important economic benefit to that area of the city.

Phase III, a new 275,000 square foot surgical hospital, incorporates several innovative sustainability features in line with the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design® (LEED®) silver certification level.

A&P also recently began construction on Phase II of Forest Park, a 72,000 square foot medical office building.
