A&P Breaks Ground on New, Non-Profit Medical Facility in Wheat Ridge

11/18/2011

(AURORA, Colo. - November 18, 2011) – Adolfson & Peterson Construction (A&P) recently broke ground on the new three-story, 50,000-square foot Jeffco Family Health Services clinic. This milestone brings Wheat Ridge residents one step closer to the opening of a medical and health services facility that will target the underserved and underinsured populations of the city and surrounding communities. The clinic was designed by Boulder Associates and will be run by Metro Community Provider Network (MCPN), a nonprofit organization.

The Jeffco Family Health Services clinic will be 1 of 13 clinics run by the MCPN throughout the Denver metro area, offering the communities they serve a place where no one is turned away because of their inability to pay. They accept all private insurance, Medicaid, Colorado Child Health Plan Plus, Medicare and the Colorado Indigent Care Program.

The clinic will be located on the southeast corner of Wadsworth Boulevard and West 29th Avenue in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Construction for the new health care site began in October and the campus is anticipated to be open for patients in October 2012.

The grant for the new site in Wheat Ridge is funded through the Affordable Healthcare Act. Clinic services and operations will be supported through various federal and non-federal grants, revenues generated from patient visits when possible, as well as through private donations. Donations can be made at www.givingfirst.org and are tax deductible.
