(MINNEAPOLIS, Minn - December 16, 2011) – A&P has been awarded a 2011 ABC National Safety Merit Award in recognition of the company’s superior long-term performance and dedication to jobsite safety.  A&P was one of only 22 companies selected to receive this year’s award. 

The ABC National Safety Merit Awards are among the most prestigious safety awards for the construction industry, recognizing companies who demonstrate a continued commitment to jobsite safety, and whose safety performance and programs are judged to be exemplary by the ABC National Environment, Health & Safety Committee. The winners will be honored at the 22nd annual Excellence in Construction awards in Phoenix on February 22, 2012.

A&P is consistently recognized as one of the safest companies in the construction industry, and recently reached a significant safety milestone in working more than 4.4 million hours without a lost-time injury. In addition, A&P was one of 12 companies to be named America’s Safest Companies by EHS Today magazine.
