Minneapolis, MN--Adolfson & Peterson Construction (A&P) has received an award from Minnesota Concrete and Masonry Contractors Association (MC&MCA) for its concrete work on the Kenrick Avenue Park and Ride.
A&P won the top award in the commercial/functional concrete category. Judging criteria included a site visit and evaluation of the uniqueness and usage of the project’s poured-in-place concrete.
Located in Lakeville, Minn., the 750-space parking ramp is located on the site of a former Minnesota Department of Transportation weigh station east of Interstate Highway 35. The facility began serving customers in September 2009.
The A&P project team, along with Walker Parking Consultants, Bonestroo, Julie Snow Architects Inc., and Metro Transit, was presented the award at the 2011 MC&MCA Awards Banquet on Feb. 25.
