    Route 2 & PCS Development have awarded A&P the new construction of The Premiere at Dana Park, a 198-unit multifamily housing development in Mesa, Arizona. The rental community will offer a mix of one- , two- , and three-bedroom market-rate units, some of which will be built above the parking garage.  The development will also feature a clubhouse, cabana, outdoor bar and patio areas, pool and spa, fitness and yoga studios, sail shade structures, and fireplaces.

    Emeritus Senior Living and Marathon Development have selected A&P as the construction manager at risk on the renovation of two assisted living facilities in southern California: the 168-unit Emeritus at Crowne Pointe, located in Corona, California, and the 113-unit Emeritus at Casa Glendale in Glendale, California. The extensive renovation of the Glendale facility will include renovating the kitchen and all residential units, expanding the dining room, and removing three units to create a two-story grand entry.

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Energyworks has awarded A&P a design-build contract to design and install a Detroit Stoker Gasifier unit with a McBurney Thermal Oxidizer unit at an egg laying facility in Gettysberg, PA.  The $5.5 million project will gasify chicken litter and turn the waste stream into power.  The project type is repeatable and will likely be used as at similar facilities around the country.  Preconstruction and engineering will begin immediately and construction is slated to start in March 2012.

    TEMPE, Ariz.—Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) has named A&P the construction manager at risk for a new performing arts center at Estrella Mountain Community College in Avondale, Arizona. This will be A&P's second project with MCCCD, the largest community college district in the U.S., with 10 separate colleges. Preconstruction on the 350-seat, 25,000-square-foot, free-standing performing arts center will begin in January 2012, with construction expected to start in May 2013. The project is designed by Orcutt Winslow Partnership.

    MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.—The State of Minnesota, Department of Administration, has awarded A&P the construction of a 100-bed skilled-nursing addition for the Minnesota Veterans Home in Minneapolis. As part of the project A&P will also renovate an existing residential building and demolish another. Construction will begin in August 2011 on the project, which is designed by Mohagen Hansen Architectural Group. This is A&P’s second project award on the Veterans Home campus.

    TACOMA, Wash.—Marine View Ventures has selected A&P to renovate and remodel four Tahoma Express gas stations in Tacoma. The phased remodeling will include interior renovations, signage, façade branding, site work and fuel systems upgrades. Construction will begin in October 2011, with design by Helix Design Group.

    TEMPE, Ariz.—Juniper Medical, LLC has awarded A&P a new project called The Ranch Rehab & Recovery at Prescott Ranch. The project involves the design/build of a 44,000-square-foot medical rehabilitation and medical recovery facility in Prescott, Arizona. Predevelopment and preconstruction work begins immediately, with construction expected to begin in the third quarter of 2012. The selection of an architect is still pending.

    MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.--Minnesota State Colleges and Universities  has selected A&P to build a new 724-space parking ramp at Normandale Community College in Bloomington, Minnesota. The 220,000-square-foot precast concrete structure is an important element in the college’s future expansion. A&P is also currently working on the college’s Academic Partnership Center. Preconstruction on the parking ramp begins immediately, with construction to follow in October 2011. The project is designed by HGA Architects and Engineers.

    AURORA, Colo.—Canadian-based Suncor Energy has awarded A&P the new construction of its 76,000-square-foot regional headquarters in Commerce City, Colorado. The two-story office complex will be built on the campus of Suncor’s refinery and is targeting LEED Silver Certification. The project, designed by Intergroup, will begin construction in February 2012.

    AURORA, Colo.—A&P has been awarded the prebond for Archuleta School District 50 in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Blythe Group will be the project architect. The scope of work is currently being defined and may include a new K-8 school, sports fields, geothermal using natural hot springs, greenhouses and tilapia farm. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2012.
