AP and American Development & Investments Complete Reunion Rehabilitation Hospital in Peoria

Peoria, Arizona – July 13, 2023 – Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP), a top national construction management firm and general contractor, and Reunion Rehabilitation Hospitals (RRH), a system of state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and America Development & Investments LLC (ADI), a leading healthcare real estate developer based in Dallas, completed construction on the state-of-the-art custom-built facility.

The 49,128-square-foot facility boasts an array of advanced technologies, meticulously selected to optimize therapeutic outcomes. From state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment to specialized treatment areas, every aspect of the hospital has been thoughtfully designed to enhance patient care. The hospital features 40 private inpatient suites, two high-tech physical therapy gyms, administrative offices, dining and kitchen spaces, as well as various back-of-the-house support spaces. Individuals grappling with complex medical, neurological, and orthopedic conditions, as well as debilitating illnesses and injuries like stroke and brain trauma, now have access to comprehensive inpatient physical-medicine rehabilitation therapies closer to home.

“The partnership between RRH and ADI has proven to be exceptional, not only in the development of this Peoria location but also in multiple collaborations across the country,” said Mark Mitchell, Vice President and General Manager of AP’s southwest region. “Working alongside these esteemed organizations has been a privilege, marked by mutual trust and a shared vision.”

RRH Peoria, located at 13451 N 94th Dr., was developed by ADI and designed by HBG Design, with AEW acting as an anchor investor of the hospital. Nobis Rehabilitation Partners, a Texas-based organization, will manage hospital operations.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony included speeches from Jason Beck, Mayor of Peoria, Anis Sabetti, Chief Executive Officer of Nobis Rehabilitation Partners, Shawn McCallum, Chief Executive Officer of RRH Peoria and Zac Byard, Senior Project Manager at AP. Guests also enjoyed tours of the newly opened facility. Over 160 guests attended the ceremony including local dignitaries.

“Given Maricopa County’s prominent position as the leader in attracting new residents, establishing our newest inpatient rehabilitation hospital in the Peoria community became imperative. This strategic decision guarantees convenient access to inpatient rehabilitation services for the local community,” said Anis Sabetti, Chief Executive Officer of Nobis Rehabilitation Partners. “As the population continues to expand and medical advances enable people to live longer, healthier lives, our inpatient rehabilitation services play a crucial role in restoring individuals to their communities following a debilitating illness or injury.”

The hospital is one in a series of inpatient rehabilitation facilities that RRH has recently developed across the country. In addition to the new Peoria hospital, AP and ADI developed a more than 47,000-square-foot hospital in Englewood, Colorado; a 51,000-square-foot hospital in Phoenix; a 55,617-square-foot hospital in Plano, Texas; and a 50,800-square-foot hospital in Arlington, Texas.
