Sherburne County Jail

 The Sherburne County Jail renovation was unique in that it included a jail and a shooting range. Rubber plucks, plywood and concrete were used for the jail flooring to ensure no sound transmission from the firing range to where the inmates were housed directly above. The large HVAC system for the building also had to supply enough air movement to evacuate all gun powder smell when firing. The range has implemented a high-tech shooting system which is one of only two such systems in the nation. Other areas include a fitness center for jail staff, two meeting rooms, a stand alone maintenance building and a medical suite.
