Great River Energy Peaking Station

To meet the energy demands of its service area, wholesale electric provider Great River Energy constructed the Elk River Peaking Station, a 175 MW power generation facility. The peaking station was built next to the Elk River Station, a waste-to-energy facility that uses refuse-derived fuel to generate up to 40 MW of electricity. A&P provided/installed three manufactured steel buildings for the project, which were utilized as control, outage and pump house buildings.
