Estes Park Emergency Department Expansion

Location:
Estes Park, Colorado
Total Project Cost:
$2.95 million
Size:
7,600 SF
A&P Role:
CMGC/CMAR

This project involved the renovation of six exam rooms and three trauma rooms, and new construction of an addition that includes a triage room, nurses’ station, clean room, reception room, waiting room, consult room, doctors’ office, break room, and parking lot.  Well-managed funds enabled the owner to add an extra parking lot, which was not part of the original scope. Despite a month-long delay at the start, AP completed construction two weeks ahead of schedule. Close coordination with hospital staff was required throughout since the AP team worked within inches of an active emergency department and helicopter pad. Stringent infection control measures were put in place to prevent contamination issues.
