Throughout this project A&P took great care to ensure the public was informed of the progress and involved in milestone celebrations. The new 22-bed critical access hospital includes a surgery wing, two operating rooms, endocrinology area, LDRP area, radiology department, cardiac/trauma area, physical therapy pool area, labs and clinic space. To ensure the project stayed within budget, A&P proposed several less-costly alternatives. One of A&P’s suggestions, to use architectural pre-cast as a finish and structural device, not only shortened the schedule but also reduced heating costs and provided more winter protection.

“Adolfson & Peterson is responsible for helping minimize the construction interest cost for our project. Your company’s suggestion of utilizing pre-cast concrete in lieu of structural steel with a masonry veneer shaved two months off the construction schedule. This idea alone saved Yuma District Hospital thousands of dollars per day in construction interest.”–John Gardner, CEO, Yuma District Hospital
