Ross Hall Chemistry Lab Additions/Renovations

Location: Greeley, Colorado

Client: University of Northern Colorado
Design Partners: Christopher Carvell Architects, P.C.

The award–winning University of Northern Colorado Ross Hall Renovation and Expansion project involved the phased construction of laboratories, classrooms, lecture halls and office space for the Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Physics, Mathematical Sciences, and Environmental Studies departments.

This complex project featured more than just "bricks and mortar" construction. For this project, A&P had to devise thorough phasing and safety plans since the expansion and renovation was being done right in the middle of campus. Also, because of the sensitive nature of the science experiments taking place in the facility, A&P had to successfully implement careful move–management procedures to ensure that not only did equipment and supplies get moved to the correct areas of the addition, but that the ongoing experimental studies remained under their required conditions.
