Battle Mountain High School

Edwards, Colorado
Total Project Cost:
$54.9 million
204,000 SF
A&P Role:

In addition to classrooms and administrative areas this new high school campus includes an auditorium, wood shop, art wing with photo lab, two gymnasiums, weight room, and dance and fitness studio. The culinary arts kitchen and lecture hall are shared with a local community college. Athletic facilities include a stadium with synthetic turf and stadium bleacher seating, baseball and soccer facilities, and a track. This project required extensive site work to demolish an abandoned 41-acre equestrian center, including several barns and outbuildings and many miles of barbed wire fence. Site finishes included two large parking lots and a separate access road for buses and fire access.

“The team has worked together to provide a high quality design and construction project that will be a centerpiece of the community for years to come… Additionally, the team has implemented a plan that will allow the facility to be completed and occupied at the beginning of this upcoming school year, nearly four months prior to the original contracted date.” – Tim Brekel, Principal, ARC Integrated Program Management, Inc.
