This school was designed with a focus on sustainability and features energy-efficient systems, classrooms conducive to learning, improved site circulation and a new football field, baseball diamond and track. AP worked with the District to complete the stadium, including the track, bleachers, pressbox and football field prior to September 28, 2012 so the school could hold their first football game of the year in their new stadium, which was located in the center of the overall construction site. The project scope also included the historic renovation of the Works Progress Administration (WPA) gym, which was originally constructed in 1936-38 out of concrete and limestone, as well as a renovation to the existing VoTech Building.

This project was made possible by funding through the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Building Excellent Schools Today (BEST) program and a voter-approved bond election and is LEED Gold certified.
