Richland High School Renovations & Additions

Location:
North Richland Hills, Texas
Total Project Cost:
$47.2 million
Size:
450,000 SF
A&P Role:
General Contractor

The extensive renovations and additions to this high school encompassed more than 450,000 square feet and involved nearly every part of the school. New buildings were constructed just inches from buildings where students continued to attend classes. To ensure the safety of the nearly 2,000 students, A&P overlaid school schedules and events with the construction schedule, allowing the project to proceed without delays. A&P then worked with the owner to accelerate the schedule, and completed the demolition and all major construction before the fall semester began. The project was finished more than 4 months (132 days) early, allowing students to occupy the new buildings at the start of the school year. Thanks to A&P's proactive value engineering, the owner saved hundreds of thousands of dollars without any compromise in quality.
