MacArthur Park Metro - Phase A

Los Angeles, California

A&P Role:

MacArthur Park Metro is a mixed-use transit-oriented development comprising affordable housing and retail. The project is situated directly atop the Metro station in Westlake, the most densely populated neighborhood in Los Angeles, and is adjacent to the most significant park in the City. The team overcame unique site challenges to create a vibrant new component to downtown Los Angeles.  Phase A of the tax-credit project consisted of 90-units of wood framed housing built over massive grade beams spanning the subway tunnel.  It also incorporates approximately 13,000 sq. ft. of ground floor retail, and 3,000 sq. ft. of office space.
