This award-winning project involved a close collaboration between A&P, Summit County, Colorado Department of Transportation, Federal Transportation Administration, and RNL Design. The project included the new construction of a transit and vehicle maintenance garage facility with 10 heavy-duty bays, a stand-alone drive-through bus wash bay, a multi-use fuel island and a bulk-fuel storage area. Also included in the project were site preparation, paving and MEP systems. Several sustainable elements were incorporated into these facilities, including a 10kW photovoltaic system, recycled exterior materials, extra insulation and extensive daylighting.
