Surprise Fire Station No.307

Surprise, Arizona
Total Project Cost:
$3.42 million
10,651 SF
A&P Role:

This neighborhood fire station serves nearby residential, commercial and industrial developments in a rapidly growing community.  The three-bay fire station is designed to meet the needs of future developments, housing 10 dorms, offices for fire personnel and community space.  Based on a traditional design that is reflected in the exterior details, the station also features an efficient open-plan interior configuration. The project site allows the station to easily integrate into the neighborhood without an imposing street presence, and makes the most of solar orientation.

“This was the smoothest project the Surprise Fire Department has done to date. The success was due to all parties truly working together as a team. This station is a spectacular building.”— Chief Michael White, Surprise Fire Department
