The Fowler Building

General Contractor

The three-story, brick warehouse building was originally built in 1928 as retail space. The design-build renovation project converted three-units of existing retail space into a single office space for Adolfson & Peterson Construction’s new Atlantic office. One of the challenges for the project was building a new infrastructure into the existing conditions and parameters of the building. The team was able to work closely with service providers to upgrade the infrastructure and with the architects to meet the design needs and obtain permitting. The building is located in an urban environment that has very strict site restraints, including a light-rail stop to the back of the building. The project team was able to coordinate material deliveries on a strict schedule to prevent the need for large storage areas.
