The Global Water Resources Center is unique in that it will be used as an educational tool for the public regarding sustainability and not just the operational headquarters for Global Water's Palo Verde Utilities Company and Santa Cruz Water Company. This LEED® Silver registered design/build project is a show case for water reclamation and reuse and utilizes a number of sustainable elements. These include: upgraded landscaping and a walkway from the board room to the plant treatment area, using only non–potable water for all irrigation and flushing toilets, recycled building materials throughout the facility, natural lighting and high efficiency heating and air–conditioning. The main office building will serve both office operations and their retail service operations. The other structure houses maintenance and warehouse operations.
