Total Project Cost:
$14 million
85,784 SF
A&P Role:

This two-story YMCA includes a full range of fitness and recreation amenities, including racquet ball courts, a natatorium, running track, two-story climbing wall, gymnasiums for adults and children, and areas for free weights, weight machines, aerobics, and stretching. Additional space accommodates a chapel, child care facilities, locker rooms, teen rooms, and administrative offices. Originally planned as a facility of between 50,000 and 70,000 square feet, the building expanded to more than 85,000 square feet after a very successful fundraising campaign. During construction, the team utilized Building Information Modeling (BIM) to maximize the design and increase construction efficiencies, and the facility was finished six weeks ahead of schedule. The facility incorporates many high-efficiency systems that reduce the use of water and require less maintenance.
