When the start of this project was delayed because of permit issues and one of the rainiest seasons on record, it looked as though the facility would not be ready for the grand opening ceremony already scheduled. However, before the heavy winter rains arrived, the team at Rushforth Construction (an A&P subsidiary) prepared for the weather by completing all the underground utility work and concrete masonry units, and by armoring the site with fabric and rock to protect it from the heavy rains. As a result, the facility was finished by the client’s deadline and the opening ceremony was held as scheduled. The 77,150 square foot full-service recreational facility offers a racquetball court, climbing wall, gymnasium with four types of sport court flooring, indoor running track, lap pool, children’s pool, adult swimming pool and spa.
