A&P Role: 
The new Readiness Center for the Department of Military and Veteran Affairs is half structural steel framing and half structural block with exposed concrete floors. The project includes a geothermal exchange well field and a 46-kW photovoltaics array system, designed and installed by AP. The project was completed one month early and on budget.
The building accommodates a forward support company of 127 soldiers that are part of a new 800-soldier infantry battalion. It includes administrative offices, a drill floor/assembly hall, a commercial-grade kitchen and break room, classrooms, training space, a physical fitness area, shower rooms, soldier lockers, gun/ammunition vaults, vehicle maintenance and wash bays, an armory, a weapon system and vehicle simulators.
