Dallas, TX (July 16, 2019) – AP was honored to present a $20,000 check to Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) to assist with their efforts in improving the lives of abused children in Dallas County. The funds were raised in AP’s 2019 Annual Charity Golf Classic, a tournament in which DCAC has served as a benefactor for the past two years. Following the check presentation, AP employees were provided a tour of DCAC where they learned first-hand about DCAC’s expert staff and the procedures associated with treating children at their facility.
AP will also serve as a Presenting Sponsor at this year’s Aim for Advocacy, an event that raises over $200,000 each year in support of DCAC through a friendly and challenging 8-station clay-shooting tournament.
DCAC is a national leader in the Children’s Advocacy Center movement and is recognized internationally for its expertise in the identification, investigation, and prosecution of child abuse cases, for its cutting-edge therapy programs for victims, and for its community and professional education programs. DCAC reduces the re-victimization of the child, removes barriers to investigation and treatment, and enhances criminal prosecution with its distinctive multidisciplinary and united approach to child abuse cases. DCAC works in agreement with public and private agencies to improve child abuse cases in Dallas County. For more information, visit their website here.
