AP Ties Blankets for Gillette Children's Hospital

On October 24, 2019, AP Midwest “got our craft on” to support the pediatric patients at Gillette Children’s Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Gillette sees more than 25,000 patients each year from throughout Minnesota, the United States and the world. Gillette is particularly known for excellence in the areas of cerebral palsy, gait and motion analysis, pediatric orthopedics, pediatric neurology, neurosurgery and pediatric rehabilitation medicine.

Gillette Children’s Hospital posted on their Facebook page that they needed the community’s help and were looking for donations of tie blankets. AP Midwest answered their call and created 22 tie blankets that would be donated and distributed to the children at Gillette Children’s Hospital in under two hours!

Patients who come to Gillette are often comforted by something friendly or cuddly. A tie blanket often helps make their hospital experience more pleasant and comfortable. After their hospital stay is complete, patients can bring their blanket home with them.

We hope that the blankets created and donated by AP Midwest will brighten a child’s day.
