AP Volunteers Helping Deliver PowerSacks to Hungry Kids through Food for Thought Denver

Aurora, CO (March 19, 2019) – Food for Thought Denver strives to eliminate the hunger problem faced by many children throughout the Denver area by providing a PowerSack to each student to take home for the weekend. The 100% volunteer-based nonprofit targets schools where 90% or more of the students qualify for either free or reduced lunch.
PowerSacks are packed with enough to feed a family of four for at least two meals. The program relies on at least 100 weekly volunteers to help with the effort.
For the past two years, AP has committed to sending volunteers one Friday a month throughout the school year to help pack bags of food for underprivileged kids. Our volunteer days rotate through departments ensuring everyone in the company has an opportunity to get involved.
