AP’s marketing department assisted A Precious Child, a Denver non-profit, in their mission to provide children in need with opportunities and resources to empower them to achieve their full potential. The company envisions a future where every child grows up to be a secure, self-reliant, contributing member of their community.
The marketing team supported this mission by spending a day sorting and hanging donated children’s clothing so that it could more easily be accessed for those in need. The group helped more than 100 kids by organizing donations, checking for quality, and hanging 1,350 pounds of clothing.
A Precious Child assists children and families facing difficult life challenges such as abuse and neglect, crisis situations and poverty. They work with more than 440 Agency Partners throughout eight Denver Metro counties including Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson and Weld to identify children and families in the most need of our services. Their core initiatives help build the whole child. In addition to meeting basic human needs through our Resource Center and Boutiques (satellite resource centers), they also help children and their families navigate community resources. This work is done through our COR (Child Outcomes Resource) Center where our Child Outcomes Advocates provide personalized case management to disadvantaged and displaced children and families, connecting them with needed resources, services, opportunities and educational support.
Through their four Key Focus Areas, A Precious Child aims to bridge the gap in children’s education so they can become secure, self-reliant, contributing members of their communities as adults.
