Tempe, AZ (June 10, 2019) – AP Southwest employees and family members teamed up late last week for an inspirational two hours of packing food for starving children around the world. The annual community event is an opportunity for employees to work together with other community volunteers and to experience the positive impact of just a few hours of time.
Similar to the packing event for Feed My Starving Children that AP Midwest recently completed, this gathering for a worthy cause resulted in over 40,000 meals from the entire group.
Feed My Starving Children produces nutritious meals designed to restore malnourished children to full health. Volunteers hand-pack meals that are shipped to missions and humanitarian agencies located in 70 countries around the world. Each meal costs 22 cents to produce and 92% of all donations directly support the food program. All meals are packed by volunteers, who, along with donors, pay for 100% of FMSC meals. FMSC receives no government aid. For more information, visit their website here.
