Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP), a national, family-owned construction management and contracting company, was recently recognized for excellence in workplace safety and health during the 2024 Minnesota Safety and Health Conference on May 1. AP was awarded the Diamond Achievement, indicating an incidence rate better than the 97th percentile of both the state and national average.
“We are deeply honored to receive the Diamond Achievement Award from the Minnesota Safety Council, recognizing our commitment to an incident and injury-free safety culture,” said Jared Anderson, safety director at Adolfson & Peterson Construction. “At AP, safety isn’t just a priority; it’s a deeply engrained part of our culture that centers on having a high level of care and concern for our employees, our subcontractors and all fellow workers.”
Recently, AP Midwest celebrated 500 days without a lost time incident, keeping more than 200 team members safe across four states, more than 30 projects and over 550,000 hours
AP was one of 244 employers to be honored through the awards program, coordinated by the Minnesota Safety Council. Since 1934, the annual Governor’s Workplace Safety Awards program has honored Minnesota employers with exceptional safety performance. Applicants are judged on several years of injury data as it compares with their industry’s national and state statistics, and on their progress in implementing a comprehensive safety program.
“Keeping the people we work and live with safe is a full-time job,” said Paul Aasen, CEO of the Minnesota Safety Council. “Congratulations to Adolfson & Peterson Construction for investing the time and energy to make work and life safer inside their organization and beyond.”
