Tempe, AZ (August 12, 2019) – School is starting and for the third year in a row, Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP) is proud to be the presenting sponsor of “Back 2 School Bounty,” a non-profit whose purpose is to provide much needed supplies and resource assistance for K-12 teachers. Due to the success of Back 2 School Bounty in Arizona, AP offices in Colorado and Minnesota have helped expand the program into those states to provide over 150 not-for-profit schools with a “bounty box” filled with school supplies for teachers.
On August 10, over 75 percent of AP’s Southwest Regional employees volunteered to sort and package the bounty boxes that will be distributed to schools in Arizona where classroom supplies are in high demand but short on supply. “AP has always supported our employees’ involvement in the community in which we live and work. Each and every one of our team members believe that basic school supplies should be available to every student, which is evident from the number of volunteers that show up to fill our bounty boxes and donate to the cause,” said Mike Bontrager, Regional President of Arizona.
A recent survey found that 96 percent of teachers will purchase essential school supplies for their students. This includes items such as notebooks and writing supplies. Research has shown that most supplies purchased are for families who cannot afford to purchase them for their children. The Back 2 School Bounty non-profit hopes that by providing students with the tools and materials they need will help alleviate this financial burden on teachers.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available for Back 2 School Bounty in Arizona, Colorado and Minnesota. One hundred percent of all proceeds and donated items will stay within the state they were donated. Additional partners include: Ace Asphalt, C.
