Hayden, Colo. (October 3, 2019) – On October 3rd, with the support of the entire school body and faculty, AP and Hayden School District topped out the Hayden Secondary School Replacement & Elementary School Renovation project. The project team held a beam signing for the district staff and students; the beam was then ceremoniously lifted into place, topped with a traditional Christmas tree and American flag.
This project includes an addition and renovation totaling 136,500 sf. The addition will include new middle and high school classrooms, an auditorium, a gymnasium, kitchen and administration offices. Renovations to the existing structure, totaling 37,470 sf, will include safety and security upgrades and the reconfiguration of spaces to maximize programming needs. The project is partially funded by a Colorado Department of Education BEST Grant and is on the CHPS program.
“We’re incredibly honored for the opportunity to help Hayden put their BEST Grant dollars to good use,” said AP Project Manager Matt Hogoboom. “These updates will give Hayden students the school they deserve, and we can’t wait to share it with them.”
The project, designed by Cuningham Group, is expected to be completed in October 2020.
