Adolfson & Peterson Construction Breaks Ground on New Windings, Inc. Facility

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — On Tuesday, October 23, Adolfson and Peterson Construction (AP), joined by partners from Brunton Architects & Engineers, broke ground on the new Windings, Inc. project.

For more than 50 years, Windings has provided engineered electromagnetic solutions for critical applications in Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, Medical, Oil & Gas and general factory Automation.  As a full-service provider, Windings is a leader in the design, test, manufacture and support of custom electric motors, generators and related components including rotors, stators, lamination stacks and insulation systems. Windings currently operates out of three buildings in New Ulm, Minnesota but is looking to expand to accommodate operations. To create better efficiencies, the plan is to consolidate the three different buildings under one roof.

The project includes a 10,100 square foot, one-level addition to an existing building for offices and administration services, a 5,120 square foot remodel of existing office space, a 7,200 square foot new expanded office space within the existing building and remodel of the 50,000 square foot manufacturing floor.

Construction is slated to begin mid-January and will commence in early summer 2019.
