New Rawlins High School

This new high school replaced the District’s outdated existing facilities with 21st Century learning environments focused on preparing Rawlins-area students for tomorrow’s challenges. Under the joint leadership of AP Wyoming and L.M. Olson of Rawlins, the new school was built directly adjacent to the existing high school, which maintained phased-active occupancy throughout construction.

To ensure safe and effective separation of materials and equipment from students and staff, the construction was completed over a series of phases. Beyond the new construction portion of the project, the scope of work also included renovations to the existing auditorium and classroom wings, a new gymnasium, pool, classrooms, auditorium, offices and cafeteria, all being constructed in multiple phases. The project takes programmatic direction from the community and Wyoming School Facilities Department’s desire to increase hands-on learning opportunities in vocational trades, performing arts, and other career-ready skills.
