AP, with the help of several industry partners, raised $40,000 for the Food4Success Campaign with a fundraising golf tournament. The tournament, held at Greeley Country Club, erased Greeley-Evans School District 6’s student meal debt with help from many generous industry partners who made the goal a reality.
Sponsors included Alpha Insulation & Waterproofing, The Baker Team, Barton Rebar, Steel Supply, Brundage Bone, BSM Wall System, Colorado Doorways, Connell, Environmental Landworks, Front Range Roofing, Hord Coplan Macht, HME, Holsinger Drywall, IMEG, ISEC, JR Butler, JVA, Kran, Mountain West Disposal, Northern Engineering, Rapid Fire Protection, RLH Engineering, Sunstate Equipment, Three Brothers Conrete, Top Gun Concrete, US Engineering, Weifield Group and Wells Concrete.
District 6 serves every student the same meal no matter the debt in their account. Over 63% of students qualify for free-and-reduced lunch, and it is common for school lunch to be their only meal of the day. In addition, many district families live just above the level needed to qualify for free meals, but not at a level high enough to always have the ability to pay.
As the contractor on the Greeley West High School project, AP feels a deep commitment to the Greeley community. The project includes 270,000 sf of new construction to replace the existing building that has been outgrown on the same site. The new build scope includes modern learning spaces, a large central hub, performance theater, gymnasia, new CTE program space and enhanced safety and security.
