Because We Care

It’s simple, but true. AP’s core values reach beyond our approach to delivering quality work to our clients. We are committed to bringing positive measurable change to the communities in which we live and build.

How We Serve

News

Diversity Commitment

Our success hinges on the continued recruitment, retention and development of a diverse workforce. Meeting industry and municipality standards are table stakes—but we strive to exceed these standards and we know this is essential to our future growth and sustainability.

We are committed to creating a diverse, inclusive workplace that reflects the differences found among our team members, clients and partners, and across our company and communities.

Sustainability

AP strictly adheres to all local, state and federal guidelines, while always looking for opportunities to go beyond these regulations and use new processes and technology to make a positive impact. Sustainability is a key component of our strategic plan and we continue to invest our resources to drive change in our company and the industry.

AP is currently ranked #22 on Engineering News-Record’s annual “Top 100 Green Contractors” list and is the #1 green builder among Minnesota-based general contractors. These rankings are based on revenue generated from projects that meet specific standards for environmental impact, energy efficiency or carbon footprint. In addition, AP was recently ranked #10 on Ranking Arizona’s recent Green Builders list. We have received multiple green building awards, including a recent ENR Sustainability Award for our Moby Geo project at Colorado State University.

AP closely collaborates with our key business partners to meet each project’s sustainability goals. By utilizing green building practices, we can reduce our carbon footprint and do our part to combat climate change. We recently announced our 100th LEED®-certified project with the completion of the East Side Storage & Maintenance Facility project in Minneapolis.

AP uses recycled building materials (rebar, steel, copper, asphalt) and low-emitting sealants and adhesives to reduce impact on the environment. We also employ environmentally friendly building practices such as stormwater runoff management, high-efficiency mechanical equipment, and project materials waste recycling. We’ve also incorporated geothermal mechanical systems, cross-laminated timber and solar panels into projects to reduce our environmental impact.

In addition, our work in the Sustainability sector enables our clients to make a greater impact on the environment. For example, the construction of water treatment facilities allows our clients to further protect our natural resources and improve their green operations. AP recently made ENR’s list of “Top 200 Environmental Firms” based largely on our work in this sector.
