AP Announces 2nd Annual Day of Giving Results

MINNEAPOLIS — (November 29, 2022) Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP), a leading national construction management firm and general contractor, today announced the results of its second annual company-wide “Day of Giving” program. More than 500 team members, friends and family volunteered more than 3,000 combined hours and the company donated more than $100,000 to local community organizations this fall. Combined with other fundraising throughout the year and donations from the AP Foundation, the Company will donate nearly $1 million to local and national charities this year.

The Day of Giving program empowers AP employees to give back to their communities throughout the months of September and October. Regional offices organized volunteering and fundraising opportunities and allowed paid time off for employees to spend time giving back and making a positive impact in the communities where they live and work.

“Our second annual Day of Giving was another great success and this year we were able to increase our financial donation to the local organizations we support,” said Jeff Hansen, AP’s CEO. “We’re proud of the impact our organization and teams continue to have in our local communities.”

AP’s regional offices selected dozens of local charities, causes and projects that have special meaning to their employees, including community funds, environmental organizations, food shelves and hunger, poverty, health issues, education and veterans’ groups. AP team members volunteered their time and services and raised money for these organizations though a variety of activities.

As a part of this effort, AP also hosted its seventh-annual “Charity Golf Classic” in Dallas to raise money for local veterans and at-risk youth and its first-annual “Golf Fore Gratitude” in Minneapolis to support Great Rivers Greening and Support the Troops Minnesota.

AP has a long legacy of service and has provided donations and service in the communities it operates for more than 75 years. The Day of Giving builds on past programs and relationships and provides a focused effort for employees to give back in a meaningful way.
