AP Construction and Acadia Healthcare Top Out Rio Vista Behavioral Health Expansion Project In El Paso

The 52,000-SF behavioral health facility will provide inpatient services to help individuals on their path to recovery

EL PASO, Texas(August 15, 2022) —- Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP), a national, family-owned construction management and contracting company, and Acadia Healthcare Company Inc., a leading provider of behavioral healthcare services across the U.S., have topped out the new addition to Rio Vista Behavioral Health Hospital in El Paso, Texas, marking the construction midpoint.

The 52,000-square-foot addition includes a new two-story, two behavioral hospital units totaling 40 additional beds, outdoor recreation spaces, a new ground-up one-story outpatient center and 14,000 square feet of added parking. Located at 1390 Northwestern Drive, the project is expected to be completed in the spring of 2023.

“Reaching the halfway mark in the construction of any project is cause for celebration, but this milestone means we are one step closer to Rio Vista expanding its breadth of treatment services to the people of El Paso,” said Zack Rogers, AP’s project executive and vice president. “As rates of mental illness and addiction continue to rise across the country and in Texas cities like El Paso, this expansion will enable Rio Vista to assist more people.”
