Adolfson & Peterson Construction Completes the Renovations of Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center

Dallas, TX (February 7, 2020) – Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP) completed renovations of Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC), a national leader in the Children Advocacy Center movement. Located in Dallas, Texas and serving children in the communities in and around Dallas, the renovations will better facilitate the building to help accommodate the increase in clients and staff at DCAC.

“We moved into this building in 2013 with the goal that abused children in Dallas County would receive every service by expert staff making every effort for their justice and healing. We served 2,800 children that year and in 2019 we served over 7,3000 people. The demand for our comprehensive investigative and healing services continues to grow, and with it, our workforce,” said Lynn M. Davis, DCAC president and CEO. “With the expertise of AP, and fueled by their passion for philanthropy, we were able to renovate without suspending any services and stayed on schedule and on budget.”

Designed by Corgan, renovations were split into three separate phases over four months, and include updates to offices, meeting rooms and interview areas. AP has been a constant advocate for DCAC throughout the last few years through volunteer efforts and fundraising through the AP Annual Charity Golf Classic. The team was thrilled to be a partner in DCAC’s efforts to better their facility in order to assist children who have been abused or witnessed a violent crime.

“My family and I have spent many years supporting DCAC in their efforts to help save the Jane Does and John Does in Dallas County – the thousands of children abused each year,” said Corbett Nichter, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. “I felt humbled to continue that support with AP to allow for the organization’s continued growth. AP’s core values reach beyond our approach to delivering quality work to our clients. We are committed to bringing positive measurable change to the communities in which we live, build and work, which is the cornerstone of our culture. Our employees are encouraged to share their time and talents to make a lasting impact on challenges that face broader society.”
