VALLEY CITY, North Dakota  – More progress on the construction of the new Barnes County jail is visible along the I-94 corridor frontage road in Valley City.

On Tuesday, November 3rd the walls of the new jail were being erected. Adolfson & Peterson Construction Senior Superintendent Konrad Johnson said the construction project is on schedule thanks to the good weather.

Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin was on the scene during the installation of the new walls. He said he was pleased to see the contractor making good progress on the construction project.

The construction of the new Barnes County jail should be completed in 2021.
