This project included the addition and renovation of the existing active and occupied elementary school. The addition consisted of a 2-story, 37,801-sf structural steel and masonry structure that includes new classrooms, a media center, STEM lab, music room, art room and administrative spaces. Renovations to 13,041 sf of the existing school to remain included a new roof, new flooring and life safety upgrades. Additional site work included new playground pits, landscaping and sidewalks. The project consists of two phases. It was part of the 2016 Bond and received additional funding through the Colorado BEST program. AP was integral in helping Weld RE-3 receive both funding mechanisms.
