Originally built in 1983, the center has served as the campus’ chapel, dining hall and general campus center. Construction included enclosing the second floor outside commons, creating year-round gathering space including a coffee shop, executive dining area and administrative offices. Renovations included the lower level bookstore, lecture and classroom space and a new front entrance. The renovated Olson Campus Center aligns with Luther Seminary’s mission to prepare the type of leaders the church needs most. The sense of community on campus is strengthened with the addition of classrooms and space dedicated to fellowship of students, faculty, staff and friends. It fosters an engaging environment that supports a new model of learning, which goes beyond the classroom setting.
