Overview

AP Construction completed a multi-phase renovation for the USPI North Central Surgery Center, enhancing operational efficiency and supporting the facility’s surgical services. The project included new administrative offices, sterile processing facilities, and significant first-floor renovations to repurpose existing space for operating room storage and support functions.

More about the project

Phase I involved the renovation of former physician office space into a new pre-admission testing suite to support outpatient procedures. In Phase II, existing administrative areas were transformed into physician support services and a dedicated training center. Phase III included the conversion of additional administrative space into a new Central Sterile Processing Department (CSPD) designed to serve a ten-operating-room suite.

Strategically located above the operating rooms, the CSPD is connected via a heavy-load cart lift, allowing for the efficient and streamlined transfer of case carts between sterile processing and surgical suites.

This project demonstrates AP’s ability to deliver complex healthcare renovations within active environments while improving functionality, workflow, and patient care support systems.
