Harold Wendell Lang Middle School

Harold Wendell Lang Sr. Middle School is the recipient of an Excellence in Construction award from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). The school was completed four weeks ahead of schedule, allowing teachers extra time to prepare before the school opened to its 1,200 students at the beginning of the new school year. The school (the first school in the Dallas ISD to use tilt-wall construction) has an administrative and commons area and a three-story classroom wing. The facility also includes cafetoriums, industrial kitchens, auditoriums, computer technology rooms, labs, art performance areas, a media center, sports gymnasiums, locker rooms, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, baseball, softball and football fields, and volleyball and tennis courts.
