Overview

AP Construction delivered Career Center East, a state-of-the-art, 80,000-square-foot, two-story facility for Lewisville ISD dedicated to Career and Technical Education. The new center complements the existing Dale Jackson Career Center, providing students with advanced opportunities to apply their high school learning in real-world, career-focused environments.

The building features a wide range of instructional spaces, including vocational training areas, an auto shop, science labs, classrooms, a salon and cosmetology suite, computer labs, a media tech lab, CSI lab, photo studio, auditorium, TV studio, and administrative offices. Constructed with a durable steel and block structure, brick veneer, and metal roofing, the facility was designed to support a variety of established programs as well as emerging technology-based courses.

More about the project

To optimize design and construction, Adolfson & Peterson utilized Building Information Modeling (BIM) throughout the project, minimizing potential challenges, saving time, and reducing costs. Career Center East stands as a modern, versatile, and fully equipped facility that prepares students for success in both higher education and the workforce.
