The St. Peter Security Hospital project involved the construction of three buildings in two phases—campus center, acute care building and transitional housing. The campus center acts as a hub of activity with classrooms, a gymnasium and offices in a central location. The acute care building is designed to safely house the facility’s patients who pose the highest risk. In total, Phase I represents a significant expansion to the existing hospital. Phase II provided renovations to the transition housing building, as well as a to the current security hospital. The facility updates helped provide a safer working environment for staff, as well as a more therapeutic space for patients.
