NBC Universal Studios at DFW is a state-of-the-art media facility, which serves as the new home for NBC 5, Telemundo 39, and other NBC Universal businesses. The project consists of a 75,000 square foot tilt-wall/steel office building housing broadcast studios for NBC 5 and Telemundo, as well as a 4,000 square foot data center with nearly a half terabyte of online media storage. The project included the installation of back-up generators, a redundant UPS system with static switch, ISP redundancy and redundant HVAC systems to serve the studios. This project was also awarded the Excellence in Construction Pyramid award from ABC.
