WatchGuard’s 140,000-sf, two-story corporate office includes an engineering laboratory with a large anechoic chamber room, a full environmental test chamber for accelerated life testing, 24 electrical test benches and a fully equipped prototype shop. The sophisticated manufacturing facility is located on the first floor where WatchGuard Video’s in-car and body cameras are assembled. The building also includes a large training facility, vehicle installation garage with an officer’s lounge, customer demonstration room, a separate engineering wing, and many employee amenities including a cafeteria with a catering kitchen, outdoor employee green space, a large recreation room, fitness center, an indoor racquetball court, and an in-house medical clinic for employees.
Construction of the interior office space consists of open areas with work stations for the departments (engineering, sales, technical services, customer support, marketing, accounting and manufacturing) of the company, individual offices, break rooms, large and small conference/huddle room, fitness center with locker rooms, indoor regulation size racquetball court, kitchen/cafeteria space that can be converted into a large assembly hall for company wide meetings.
Interior sound and lighting was carefully considered for added employee comfort, included fully dimmable LED lighting in the open areas and indirect cove lighting in the common areas. Individual offices include full glass window walls with partial privacy
window film.
Other finishes include solid surface countertops, porcelain tile floors, static dissipative vinyl tile in the manufacturing area. A grand stair case is curved and fully wrapped in wood paneling. It is topped off with black granite treads and risers and a glass/stainless steel handrail providing a stunning visual impact at the main entrance.
