Duluth, Minnesota – (June 25, 2026) – Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP), a national, family-owned construction management and contracting company, recently hosted its fifth annual charity bean bag tournament in Duluth, Minnesota, raising a record-setting $22,000 to support local first responders.
Proceeds from this year’s event were shared equally between the Duluth Fire Foundation and the Duluth Police Foundation, with each organization receiving an $11,000 donation. The tournament exceeded its previous fundraising record by more than $7,000, making 2026 the most successful year in the event’s history.
“What started as a fun community event has grown into an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful impact,” said Patrick Sims, General Manager at AP. “The continued support from our industry partners, clients, and community members has helped us reach new fundraising milestones each year. We’re honored to support the Duluth Fire and Police Foundations and the important work they do throughout our community.”
Since its inception, the tournament has brought together construction industry partners, local businesses, and community members for a day of friendly competition and charitable giving. Over the past five years, the event has become a staple of AP’s community engagement efforts in the Duluth area.
At Adolfson & Peterson Construction, building stronger communities extends beyond the projects we deliver. Through events like the annual charity bean bag tournament, AP remains committed to supporting organizations that enhance the quality of life in the communities where its employees live and work.
Planning is already underway for next year’s tournament, which will be hosted on May 6th, 2027. AP looks forward to continuing the tradition of giving back while bringing the community together for a great cause.
