AP Completes Church and School Renovation in Dallas

Christ the King Catholic School

DALLAS – Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP) recently completed the Christ the King Catholic Church and School renovation project in Dallas.

The project was part of a multi-phase master plan that included interior renovations, selective demolition and construction of a new 25,000-sf addition to support its growing parish and school community. The project began by converting existing parish hall space into temporary classrooms and culminated in the construction of new academic and worship facilities, followed by restoration of the original spaces. Key improvements include ADA-compliant upgrades, a new chapel, classrooms, a library, a storm shelter and updates to the event and bridal suites.

The DFW area continues to grow, creating an increasing need for spaces that can support thriving faith and school communities,” said Granger Hassmann, Regional President at AP. “We are proud to have partnered with Christ the King Catholic Church and School to bring this vision to completion. These renovations and new facilities provide the campus with the space, functionality and resources needed to serve its growing parish and school community for years to come.

Christ the King, established in 1941, is a Catholic church and school in Dallas and one of the metroplex’s oldest churches. The church’s school has offered exemplary pre-K through 8th grade education to countless servant leaders. The church is located at 8017 Preston Road in Dallas.

Beck Architecture served as the project’s architect.
