Minnesota Veterans Home Building 16 & 21N

The 153,600-sf renovation of Building 16 & 21N provides domiciliary care for 50 residents. The project included the renovation of two-level structure from double occupancy resident rooms with a shared bath into single occupancy rooms with a private bath. There was also miscellaneous renovation to existing spaces, as well as a small addition to the east. The mechanical system was significantly modified to bring the facility up to code. The renovated facility incorporated designs that optimize the resident-centered care model.
