AP Tops Out Church and School Renovation in Dallas

Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP) recently topped out the Christ the King Catholic Church and School renovation project in Dallas

The project, with a tentative completion plan for Summer 2026, includes a multi-phase master plan that includes interior renovations, selective demolition, and the construction of a new 25,000 SF addition to support its growing parish and school community. The five-phase project begins with converting existing parish hall space into temporary classrooms and culminates in the construction of new academic and worship facilities, followed by restoration of the original spaces. Key improvements include ADA-compliant upgrades, a new chapel, classrooms, library, storm shelter and updates to event and bridal suites.

“The DFW area continues to grow and that means more space is needed for places of faith,” said Granger Hassmann, Regional President at Adolfson & Peterson Construction. “We are honored to work on this project and get to the midpoint, as these renovations will ensure the Christ the King campus can continue to be functional and have a lasting impact.”

To celebrate the midpoint of construction, church leaders, donors and project team members signed the last beam before it was put in place.

Christ the King, established in 1941, is a Catholic church and school in Dallas and is one of the oldest churches in the metroplex. The church’s school has offered exemplary pre-K through 8th grade education to countless servant leaders.

Beck Architecture served as the project’s architect.
